This *abstract* class is used to represent a data type that is not known at the logical model level, but rather will be substituted with a (set of) real data type(s) when transformed to a given platform.

• Note that all datatypes (except Any) are subtypes of Any. This is not shown on the diagram to reduce diagram clutter.
  Modeling every data type as a subtype of Any enables the substitution of any child data type in a property that uses the Any data type.
